Elwyn and the Gingerbread Man made a friend

While off at the hospital Elwyn made a friend Elroy.  The gingerbread man enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate with the two elves.  Elroy had been moved from the cupboard he was in and got sick too.  The elves and cookie had chats with Santa Claus about all the fun things they have been doing.  The gingerbread man had told them that he was done playing with the kids in Room 1 and had sent them some treats to enjoy.

Elwyn got our mail

Pictures for Elwyn

Oh no

After being knocked off his hiding spot last week, Elwyn ended up in the hospital.   The children were all very concerned and drew pictures for him.   They wanted Elwyn to get the pictures so Mrs. D and Mrs. Cole sent them to the hospital in the North Pole.   Hope he gets them and we hope he feels better soon.

Not again!!!

Gingerbread Man snuck a note into our attendance.  He wanted to read some stories last night.  Where can the be??   The children thought the library would be a good place to look.    It was tricky but they found some crumbs......followed the trail to the book on the shelf.   There was a note peeking out from the book......Drats, we missed him again!

Special concert

On Friday Acton high came in today and gave us a private concert.  The whole school came to enjoy.

Sneaky guy

Mrs McKellar dropped off a letter today. It was delivered to room 6 by mistake.   It was a letter from the gingerbread man.  He said that he was going somewhere where the phones rang a lot and the attendance ended up.  The children guessed the office.

We went for a walk to the office.  Neither of the secretaries knew about a letter but that Mrs. Tapp had a huge mess in her office.   We went into her office to find her staring at a mess all over her desk.  There was cookie crumbs on her desk, her table and her credenza.  There was no gingerbread man to be found.......

Run run as fast as he can......and he did!

Today we made a gingerbread man.  We put him in the oven for 30 minutes.  When we went back to get him, the tray was empty except for a few crumbs and a note.  He said that he was sneaker than us and he ran away.  Also that we should look for him and that he would leave us a note on Monday.  Check around your house and see if he's there, otherwise we shall see Monday.
