Duck challenge

Children have been drawing and voting on each others drawing of the ducklings...every day at least 4 friends get to pet and hand feed the ducklings.

Math

The class has been working on surveys and graphing.   We have taken advantage of having ducks and Guinea pigs in our classroom and used them in our math unit.

Duck facts

Krista's sister Erin came in today to answer some questions that the children had about the ducks.  One big question was why didn't the ducks have a pool to swim in.  Well Erin told us that they don't have a pool because they would drown.  Duck develop an oil on their feathers to protect them from water that helps them float on the water. We also learned that they are heirloom harlequin ducks.......cool.

After a poll we have finally named our ducks....hope the Schenks like the names

Toonies for water

Today Robert Little celebrated Me to We inititiative by wearing our pyjamas for $2.  The money raised will go towards fresh drinking water in Kenya.
